Loading Up on Supplies!

Tonight we loaded up on supplies to be ready for our fast. We bought a lot of liquid in one night. Sam's Club is going to be key in this fast because we can buy bulk from there. It seemed like a lot when we got up to the check out line but if you think about it, we were buying groceries. When we said that to ourselves it seemed cheaper actually. Plus we tend to go out to eat a lot, and let's be honest, even though Columbus is a big city there are only so many smoothie bars you can go to. So we have said that will be our date nights. How romantic I know, I get it naturally I guess ha ha ha. For our treats we got something called Bolthouse juices. Bolthouse is the brand of juice and I have been told that it is really good, so that will be our treat. We got Gatorade and the new G2 stuff which was very tasty. Also on the list we got some orange juice, V8 hybrid mix of something. For our meal supplements we're going to have stuff that has more to it than the other stuff, so we got Slim Fast, and Carnation Instant breakfast stuff. We got some regular milk and some soy milk (we'll see if it does as bad of a number on my stomach as regular does). We came home and loaded up the food that was in there and narrowed it down to what are we giving away and what could we possibly eat within the next few days. Then everything else was thrown away and we loaded that thing full of liquids. I made the comment to Mindy that we will not have to do dishes, and that packing lunches will be so easy! She of course liked that idea and I told her that the only dishes we'd have to do would be glasses and smoothie mugs. I'm going tomorrow to get a Nalgene bottle and trick that thing out with stickers so it's my own! Then I'll take some of that mixture that you can make the drink like a fruity kind of deal like the Nutri Sweet or whatever it is to put in there. We also bought like 3 water filters for our Pur water filter pitcher and I was very happy to install that. I feel as though even if we wanted to back out of this thing (which we absolutely do not) it's too late now. I know that Satan will try to kick us when we are down but when we're weak He is strong so watch out devil because the left hand might not be so hot but the right hook is Jesus and he'll give you a two piece with a biscuit and leave you wondering what happened. Well I'm off to sleep and dream of what He has in store for me tomorrow.

Falling in Love for 40 Days!

Coming this Monday March 3rd, Mindy and I are going to start a 40 day fast. The fast will be a liquid diet with vitamins. The purpose of this fast is for several reasons but the main reason is for us to become more in love with the person of Jesus Christ. Mindy came up with this idea that we need to fall more in love everyday, whether that be with each other or with Him. I really liked this because I always want to fall in love more and more with her, she is my girl and I will forever be hers! I do however want more than anything to fall more and more in love with Jesus. One other reason is because I struggle with my weight and I found it shocking when I went to the doctor and the scale showed that I weighed 395. Nobody ever believes me that I weigh that much or if they do they say "You carry it so well." Well you know what I'm still carrying it and it has affected my health and I am to the point I'm not living like I should. I know that God did not create my body to live like this and how I know that is that I have stretch marks on my body and I am unable to do things that should be simple. I know that I am not going to be as effective as I could be for Him and I definitely don't want that. Another reason is that I feel that I need to have a deeper relationship with Jesus and that I can do so by getting in the The Word more. So for 40 days I'm going to blog on where I'm at in the scripture and what it is saying to me. I want so much to get in a deeper and closer walk with Him. I have to get to the point where I am a man possed with the Holy Spirit and I'm acting out of control because He has taken control of me. The natural outcome of Him speaking to me is the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in my life so much so that I'm transparent. I want that when people look at me they mistake me for Him. Oh Jesus let it be so!!

Cheap Dates Are The Best!

So we had a wicked cheap date today and it was awesome! I would recommend it to any couple on a budget. We went to Sam's Club and got some of their cheese pizza and it was seriously some of the best pizza that have crossed these lips (and that's saying something!). We then wandered around the store trying samples and sitting in chairs while watching people and enjoying it all very much so. I always find it interesting when the sample ladies bring out the samples and people flock to those like it's the fountain of youth! Of course I am one of those and I was hardcore when getting to the nuggets and the chicken wings because those are just delicious! But they are so funny the way they are little salesmen and try to get you to buy it and don't we all act so interested like we're really going to buy the item and we have no intention of doing so. But we give them a smile and just walk away, I don't know about you but I have gone back for seconds before if the sample was delicious (which they generally are) and acted like I was a new customer that had just discovered the sample island. Oh I just thought of this, this one sample lady today had lotion and was trying to push the lotion on me when I really didn't want any. And then she was kinda making fun of my gnarly knuckles and elbows, but I hate lotion. She needed to quit being so pushy, but that's kind of their job. But still lay off me if I say no, because no means NO! Ok I think I'm done for now, but I'm going to add some pictures.

Mindy found a scrapbooking kit or whatever it was called so I felt the need to take a picture of it!

I saw this Swiss backpack and it was awesome because it had a laptop part to it too and I'm a big fan of it! I might end up getting it but I'm not sure. YEAH FOR CHEAP DATES!!
